Major Works such as internal and external redecoration, the resurfacing of an access way or replacement of a roof or lift are complex and expensive projects which need to be carefully managed by experienced professionals.
Advance planning is essential, both to satisfy the various Landlord & Tenant requirements (Section 20) and to ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet the cost of the works. At Shaw & Company, our surveyors can help with this by carrying out a planned preventative maintenance inspection which will identify work required over a ten year period and give an indication of the likely costs for budgeting purposes.
Our experienced surveyors will then manage the whole project; from drawing up a comprehensive brief to present to approved contractors as part of the tender process, reviewing each tender submission to ensure full compliance and competitive pricing, with considered recommendations put forward prior to the contract being awarded.
Regular progress meetings are essential; our surveyors will keep clients and agents informed and up to date as we will regularly supervise works.
