Should I exercise the Right to Manage?
The Right to Manage process can be long and troublesome so it is important to establish if this is the right path for you and your fellow lessees to follow.
- Are you unhappy with the management of your building, whether managed by the freeholder or managing agent appointed by the freeholder?
- Is it impractical or impossible to purchase the freehold?
- Do at least 50% of the lessees agree to make the change?
If you answered yes to the above questions it is worth considering exercising your Right to Manage.
